Japan: Subaru says cars fitted with EyeSight have 60% fewer crashes

vehicles equipped with the EyeSight driver assist system had 80% fewer front-to-rear crashes (crashes into the vehicles in front) and 50% fewer accidents involving pedestrians

These seem like pretty impressive numbers for a relatively simple ADAS feature. I wonder if anyone has projected the global impact on crashes if all cars had this equipment.

Wait! I though nVidia claimed this victory with Audi back at CES in Jan 2015 (https://www.tttech.com/news-events/newsroom/details/audi-showcases-next-evolution-of-zfas-architecture-with-tttech-in-audi-prologue-piloted-driving-at-c/). Did something change? Infineon was not promoted much back then, but is a more realistic supplier.
