Car manufacturers that team up with partners on automotive electronics are usually successful such as Microsoft with Ford My Touch system. Most people use their phones so much that keeping them charge is a big challenge. All technologies almost always wind up in cellular phone such as GPS technology etc. Wireless charging is the new trend that replacing charging your phone in 110 volt outlet. Once one car manufacturer has this wireless charging technology its just a matter of time before almost every car manufacture has the technology. Technology in automotive infotainment is driving the consumers to seriously considering purchasing that manufacturer new model.
