US DOT finally releases 5.9 GHz DSRC spectrum test plan

Sens. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., and Cory Booker, D-N.J., in February reintroduced legislation to open the 5.9 GHz band to new uses — they also back the deal.

Let’s get on with the testing and prove whether 802.11ac can “do no harm” to 5.9 Ghz DSRC. Both industries are in a stall until this is done. I hope they both win, and DSRC radios can be in production cars making them safer.
