Nissan has been bold on Autonomous for the longest time of all the carmakers. I guess you can measure “less stress” in a lot of ways and if the car has zero fatalities that would help.
Will you be able to buy a new car without Android Auto in the future? Not likely. Apps will sell cars faster than carmakers have tried to build their own islands.

These seem like pretty impressive numbers for a relatively simple ADAS feature. I wonder if anyone has projected the global impact on crashes if all cars had this equipment.
He is the opposite of boring, and I’ve always liked the Chrysler and Fiat style. Maybe Apple could bring in the extra quality needed. It’s fresh thinking not to diss Silicon Valley’s potential to disrupt the traditional steel and rubber industry.
Of course they could, and will probably need to work with others too, but Apple has not shown much interest in using any other OS than their own, and without OS X (Intel) and iOS (ARM) there is no ecosystem to leverage.

A crowded highway is much less controlled than a crowded airway and there is surely the more flexible 3D path available to planes. Autonomous cars will still be constrained by the physics of the roads.
